About the Partner:
We are exclusively representing a leading Australian HVAC and mechanical engineering business that is building a dedicated prefabrication function
This new capability sits at the intersection of digital design, structural support, and offsite mechanical fabrication
The Opportunity:
This is a senior, formative role where you will help shape the future operations of a rapidly growing prefabrication facility
You will engage at early design stages to identify offsite construction opportunities and embed prefabrication thinking into the design process from the outset
Multiple openings are available, and the positions will be tailored to the experience of the right candidates, with opportunities to take on Team Leader responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Revit MEP and Revit Structure models with clear fabrication intent
- Coordinate mechanical services, structural steel framing, and support structures
- Produce detailed fabrication and shop drawings suitable for offsite manufacture and site installation
- Drive coordination between design, fabrication, and construction teams to translate BIM models into buildable outcomes
- Communicate prefabrication outcomes across all levels and work directly with design engineers and specialist subcontractors
Your Profile:
- Proven experience modelling HVAC, mechanical services, and structural steel framing to a coordination and fabrication standard
- Demonstrated understanding of prefabrication principles and how offsite construction physically translates to the build phase
- The ability to influence design decisions and make a credible technical case for prefabrication outcomes
- Candidates with experience in Tier 1 consultancies on contractors are highly regarded
- A stable work history and a genuine commitment to technical excellence
