The Role
Based in the Northern Suburbs of Sydney, this position will see you take ownership of critical testing and quality assurance phases.
As the Verification and Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring hardware and software products are thoroughly tested, validated, and fit for deployment in demanding real-world environments.
You will play a critical part in improving product quality, accelerating development cycles, and providing confidence that solutions perform reliably in harsh, remote conditions worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive verification and validation activities throughout the product lifecycle, from early prototype evaluation through to production release and post-release quality improvements.
- Develop and execute verification and validation plans for new hardware, firmware, and cloud-connected IoT products.
- Design test strategies, develop automated and manual test systems, and build test rigs.
- Manage laboratory and field trials.
- Investigate product issues to ensure new features and products meet functional, reliability, and performance requirements.
- Work closely with hardware, firmware, cloud, and customer support teams.
What You Bring
- Proven experience in a Verification and Validation Engineering role or similar technical testing capacity.
- Demonstrated ability to build test rigs and design both automated and manual test systems.
- Experience working with hardware, firmware, and cloud-connected IoT devices.
- A proactive approach to investigating product issues and driving continuous quality improvements.
- Excellent communication skills to work seamlessly across cross-functional engineering and support teams.
